I will add my updates in the comments, consider donating large pots and buckets, bao fang radios, iodine tablets, as per my idea of a clean drinking water station camp stoves with correct propane fittings and quality large pots and pans (stainless steel) are necessary and so would be the finest strainers and colanders, perhaps line them with coffee filters or cheese cloth or wine mesh bags. disposable or reusable dishware also. colloidal silver probably wouldn't hurt to add to your water after filtration either.

NAC and quercetin as medicine, amazing grass for nutrition (Amazing Grass Greens Superfood Antioxidant: Greens Powder with Organic Spirulina, Beet Root Powder, Elderberry & Probiotics, Sweet Berry) berry is the best flavor, Sovereign Silver's colloidal silver gel for wounds, i am including affordable supplements so they can be shared widely.

I saw a comment about the cheap Chinese diesel heaters. They are complex machines with lots of parts and setup. They are imitations of very expensive and quality models but they themselves are not. Finding parts for them would also be near impossible as they are knock off imitations. I would stay away from those personally. The buddy heaters are the standards for price and availability and even safety. Wool or synthetic (fleece) blankets are even more scalable.

Apparently Glen Beck is one source of information claiming the FEMA or TEMA is confiscating donations, many have come out against his allegations.

I am both grateful and concerned that Bear Independent is closely working with TEMA, as he claims they are giving him control, he is telling his audience a donation to them is equal to himself. I am grateful because I do trust him to do the righteous work and reject politics, but am concerned because I don't know how long that can last, I expect that deal will go sour. I hope it doesn't.

This has been a good opportunity for us preppers to find new channels and new ideas for our preparedness strategies.

The real need is aerial. I have nothing to say about that, other than delivering items with drones. I found a comment on youtube i added at the end of the above article. Drones should drop radios, iodine and a filtration device (i bet an epic water filter bottle weights as little as 2 water bottles), and emergency blankets.

compass and whistle is necessary, nobody should go on a search trip without one. I have a great idea but I don't have a platform:, which is why Im posting in the comments of a lot of videos, that donations of old GPS's can be collected. a lot of them the internal battery doesn't work but they still work while they are plugged in unlike phones cell service causes no barrier. The downloadable maps don't matter what matters is that they still do work for navigation. I see them all the time at garage sales and thrift stores. They have what you need and you can hardwire them to any battery with little effort with a pigtail from battery terminals to a female car adapter.

Long extension cords are a great idea as generators are widely in use. don't forget about all types of soap. boots are expensive and personal but socks are not. socks and underwear and cheap and universal. I prefer synthetic materials, remember all synthetic materials are great except near fire. I highly recommend scrub pants, they dry fast and are strong and lightweight so a great winter underlayer, fleece is also amazing for warmth, cost, and weight.

Boots on the ground are asking for chainsaws and all related equipment including oil. Don't forget safety gear! While expensive, it may do the most good as there is far more ground support.

Another comment was about hard candy for normalcy and children, it does in fact help with dehydration. Speaking of dehydration the leading cause of death because of water bourne sickness is dehydration. Diarrhea and vomit cause a loss of electolytes to the body., which must be replaced immediately. Gatorade is overrated,i would instead buy Pedialyte. Liquid IV is expensive but useful. I would also chose coconut water, add honey to water, add pinch of sea salt to water, (sea salt doesn’t contain iodine, celtic salt contains magnesium, I add nu-salt (potassium chloride). Bee Keepers have stock piles of honey, honey is as dense a useful survival tool (for first aid as well) if their ever was one. There should be a call for small packaged honey. Look into products such as Ceralyte, https://normalyte.com/, hydralyte, drip drop, kinderlyte

(my argument and data against synthetic vitamins will have to wait!)

I will be writing and uploading a detailed paper all about water shortly.

Even if a stranded victim cannot reach others with a CB radio, amplified broadcasts can be made so that they can receive messages. I will also try to send word the repeater operators, but they are swamped, to say the details of their repeater (tone, offset) often because many are listening online but should know the Transmission Xfrequency if they are in the area in case of internet outages and so they can talk back. Of course FCC wattage rules raise a barrier but citizens have been using linear amps on CB for all time.

I saw marking tape and sharpie on a list, great idea if your lost or trying not to get lost.

carbon monoxide detectors for generators, but im not too invested in generators as a solution, it is still a dependence. i would charge batteries for low power devices and use power for any water filter devices. yes freezers and fridges but that will only last so long anyway, if you have a freezer full of food you aren't going to starve anytime soon. if you can get gas, you can get food. Rescuers need extra energy for tools and their own comforts sure but for bugging-in you shouldn't need to much besides warmth and water and hopefully you have comms so you are on the list to be rescued. I hope i can reach some important people with my perspective. We should all be honing our abilities right now.

I think the donations of old GPS is a valuable idea combined with off-grid cell phone apps.

I looked up the cost of starlink, about 300+ dollars, while fees may be waved now they also create dependence on a subscription and are not easily compact.

If its very necessary is arguable. "Network Assurance Engineers and Verizon Remote pilots Mark Bluteau and Dusty Kelley were deployed in Asheville, North Carolina, Tethered drones provide cellular and data coverage and in this caseWe’re automatically waiving domestic call, text, and data usage for postpaid consumer, small business and Verizon Prepaid customers impacted by the storm in parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina."

A new GPS, without communication ability and without a need for subscription, is Garmin 010-00970-00 eTrex 10 Worldwide Handheld GPS Navigator$ 139.90

I am against satellite phones because they require a subscription, not only are they themselves expensive so is the subscription (same for starlink). I am disheartened that those who promote them don't also vocallize free alternatives. vhf radio's are undoubtedly the main tool being used are not hindered by a few trees overhead.
